5 Steps to Fake Glowy-Clear Skin

Hi Guys!

Since we are occasionally getting some hotter days here in England, I thought it was time to share how I achieve that flawless glowy skin look in 5 really simple steps, because who doesn’t want to be a beaming goddess?

Step One

Have the perfect base. Of course not everyone is blessed with clear and non-textured skin, but a good way to cheat this is prepping your skin before makeup. Use a good moisturiser and then go on top with a thick primer to smooth out your pores, bumps and texture. Some good examples are Benefit’s POREfessional or the Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser. For further skincare tips, see my previous blog here

Step Two

Use a light, but full coverage foundation or tinted moisturiser – good examples of this are the Nars Sheer glow foundation or the Urban Decay Naked Skin One & Done Hybrid Complexion Perfector. Choose one with the words dewy or glow in the title, or amp up your current foundation by mixing it with a liquid highlighter, I tend to use the Benefit’s sun beam. I also have a great run down of my favourite foundations here

Step Three

Highlight your T-Zone with a concealer 2-3 shades light that your own and bronze around the perimeters of your face with a darker shimmery shade. This technique will leave you super glowy when the sun hits your face!

Step Four

Set your makeup with a light powder, the MAC Mineralise Skin Finish powders have the most amazing finish.

Step Five

Highlight! There are currently so many products out right now with the sole purpose to make you GLOW, or you can even use an eye-shadow/light bronzer on the high points of your face (tip of the nose, top of your cheek and forehead).

Right, there you have it, 5 tips to get your skin looking great this summer! Hope you enjoyed. Please like and share.
