“The 90’s was a time where a certain few came into the spotlight and took the world by storm! In honour of this great decade, I am here to deliver to you; five 90’s beauty icons.
Kate Moss is an English fashion model who was discovered in 1988, but throughout the 90s sprung to fame. Her petite frame and natural look made her a iconic. She is well known by the industry for her modelling and of course, her rock ‘n’ roll lifestyle. Her innocent look and her pink toned makeup made her my number one icon choice.
Naomi Campbell is also an English fashion model. She was recruited at the age of 15 and came to be one of the most iconic models in the 90’s. She inspired so many women of colour and made me believe that nothing is impossible. In the 90’s most of the well-known magazines and brands didn’t feature a range of different backgrounds, but she helped change that. She became more than just an iconic figure but inspiration to so many women. She was the first black model to be on the French Vogue magazine.
Princess Diana was born in 1961 and later died in 1997, she was a part of the British royal family. Her iconic short blonde her, philanthropy, style and makeup made the public fall in love her. It was her signature beauty and her style which makes her still an icon today.
The stunning Tyra Banks is an established model who was the star in two of her own shows. She started modelling when she was 15 years old, she became the first African American to appear on the Victoria secrets catalogue and is still killing it today!
Cindy Crawford is an American model who started modelling during the 1980’s to 1990’s. She was one of the most popular models in the 90’s, who was featured in many magazines like Vogue and Elle. She also participated in over 500 celebrity appearances. She was well known for her famous mole above her lip and her glamour’s big curly hair which many people adored.
